Rendr Festival 2026

Future Screens NI were delighted to collaborate with Studio Ulster, Ulster University and CoSTAR Network to deliver the two-day programme exploring the relationship between inclusive creative practice and technologies.

The festival opened on 11th February with an amazing concert which included music by Professor Frank Lyons and visuals by Professor Paul Moore, performed by an ensemble of musicians from Hard Rain, Acoustronic and Elefantora, alongside an orchestral soundtrack. The concert also celebrated the 90th birthday year of pioneering composer Steve Reich, with performances including Vermont Counterpoint, Clapping Music and Reich Remix.

The following day we hosted the Inclusive Creativity Symposium which brought together academics and artists from across the UK and Europe! We were thrilled to have Oscar-winning actor Dr James Martin MBE open the event, followed by speeches from Prof Andrew Kotting, SMARTlab and more.

Thank you to all our wonderful speakers and to everyone who came along to support Rendr
